Little Mermaid Search for new Ariel

So I am going to the open call next week for Little Mermaid, the search for a new Ariel, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should sing? I have been told it's a bad idea to sing Disney for a Disney audition, they also want something that shows off your soprano range, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Well, it says must have a crystal clear belt up to an E, which isn't that high. But I would choose a song that goes a little higher than that, to show that you can belt with ease.
Try "When The Music Played" from How To Save The World and Find True Love in 90 Minutes Or Less
I still have no idea what a crystal clear belt is! Ahh!
Bring something in your more legit voice; that's what they ask for in the official casting call. You should have both but it seems like they're looking for legit ability first and they'll judge the "crystal clear belt" in a callback.
Nooo. Lillias White is the only person I know of with a "Flawless E Belt"

Natalie Weiss.
Actually I think all of the Broadway Boys can belt high C's.
eturner, I'd love to hear how your audition goes!
So I just had my audition, and it was a very positive experience. but totally not what I was expecting!! In the audition annoucement they asked us to prepare a song that showed a crystal clear soprano belt. When we got there, they told us they did not want to hear our prepared songs, but wanted us to sing from the show. They had us all then sing the reprise of "Part of your world" and then if they liked what they heard they would ask us to stay. I was not asked to stay and not many people were. But they were very nice, and encouraged us took working and auditioning, but even though I was not called back, it was a great experience. I guess from now on, I should work on the songs from the show rather than in my repertoire! And I know that Boston is the last stop on the audition tour, so I'm not sure how it worked in the other cities?

Baritones don't have a clear belt. Some tenors do, but it's mostly women.
I just didn't know what it meant period. Mainly I was referring to the fact that the adjectives were kind of silly sounding.

Awesome! Sounds like it was a great experience. I was going to go in Philly, but I live quite a ways outside the city and the snow jammed everything up that morning where I was. Sounds like I missed out on a cool day.
