Little Shop of Horrors Audition

This spring, our school is gonna put on the play Little Shop of Horrors, and I need help finding an audition song. Since there is a shortage of boys in the theatre department, a girl is allowed to play the plant, so I will be trying out for that, as Audrey is way to high for me. What song do you think would best fit the part?

Do you want a male song that you'd sing up a couple of keys or a low female song? What's your vocal range?

I'd prefer a low female song. :) I'm an alto/mezzo that can sing up to a D natural.

Ahh, you have a very low voice. I can't think of anything for the Plant for a girl. Sorry!

My advice is just sing something that you like. The plant has a character voice right? So maybe sing something where you can sing it with a character voice that you think would be good for the plant. You don't have to sing a "Plant" song, and I can't think of one that you could sing if you wanted too :)

I would sugest singing something R&B-ish for that part.
