Just skimmed the "other" board and learned that the producers of Arrested Development didn't submit her for Emmy consideration. Damn them. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY???????

Because she's a sad old has been who should have retired gracefully more than a few years ago? Just a thought.

Obviously you haven't seen her brilliant appearances on Arrested Development. Never count her out. It's been done dozens of times, and she always emerges triumphant.

Growing old has very little to do with her decline though.

I implore you to catch the repeats of her AD episodes. The woman is still a comedic GENIUS. No matter what has happened in her life, she can still entertain like nobody's business.

Liza is doing great. Her new summer concert tour is getting raves and a new television show is being developed for her. Also; she is very heavily rumored to be the top choice for the Sunset Bouelevard film. AND.. she is brilliant in Arrested Development. I don't share your opinion that she should have retired years ago. I am so happy I get to see her in concert next week . I also think that many of the college kids and performers just starting out should take a look at her body of work ( mostly the taped concerts) to see how it is truly done by a true artist and interpreter of song.

What the Arrested Development appearances confirm is that Liza is truly a great comic actress. Even if she never sings another note there are great things still in her. It's a pity she wasn't nominated, but I am happy the show was recognized. If you have not seen it you must.

I think it is sad that she is thought of as a second-rate Michael Jackson these days. What did she do to deserve that?
