Lonely, I'm so lonely

I am all alone!

My roommate just left for 10 days for a cruise to Alaska! My friend who has been staying here for a month is leaving tonight!
That means I have my apartment all to myself for the first time in ages, and it's very empty and lonely!

Anyone want to come to NYC for labor day weekend and keep me company??

I'm coming on Sunday, but I'm afraid my day will be spent on a Dr. Who marathon. I have to finish it off before (ironically) I go to London.

And walking around nude just doesn't do it for me. It's been so nice to have someone around to chat with and hang out. It's just not the same as going out to meet friends, I like having friends around all the time.

liotte - I'm sorry you feel lonely. I have to say, though, that if I had your reality leading up to this current freedom, I'd be celebrating by locking the door, turning off the phone and DARING anyone to interupt my privacy.

LOL, it is nice not to have kids around 24/7, that's for sure!

I like grown-up time though. One night alone is nice and I can deal with, the whole week will seem like an eternity!!!

My, you are an aquarius! I too hate being alone. I need 'alone' time occassionally, but when I'm alone I'm missing being with people.

I need copious amounts of alone time. Celebrate, Liotte! Take up a new hobby or craft. Read a book.

But if you really want company that bad and are willing to pay for my flight....

Liotte, we're in the middle of a national disaster. If you feeel lonely, contact the Red Cross and do some volunteer work. You certainly are capable of answering phones.

I usually just stick to donating blood a couple times a year, but maybe there's something in NYC that I can do.

And DD- I have 5 sushi places within 2 blocks of my apartment...

Seriously, the best New Year's Eve I ever had was in 2001. At the last minute my friends backed out of our plans at the last minute (it ended our friendship) and I was left alone. I called the American REd Cross and asked if there was anything I could do at Ground Zero. They told me to come down and they put me to work in the canteen. It was the best New Year's Eve I ever had.
