Lots of these questions but please help

i remember reading a thread a while ago about auditioning with a song from a modern musical but i can't seem to find it. every combination I search ends up blank.

i just wanted to know because i was thinking about auditioning for my schools production of grease coming up. so do you guys think its okay if somebody auditions with a song from a modern musical or if i should pick something from hello dolly or something.

It depends on the part you really want. If you don't care I would just go with something you feel confident singing. Oh yeah, and have fun!

If auditioning for GREASE, you should sing something rock and rollish. Your audition song should always match the style of the show.
