I did a search but couldn't find anything.

A guy scratched off a $4 million winning ticket, but accidently threw it out. A woman who worked in the store picked it up and sent the ticket in and will now get $200,000 a year. Now the guy is trying to sue the lady and get his ticket back - he knows it is his because of his "unique scratching style." But the guy never signed his name on the ticket or anything - who should get the ticket?

My answer is to the lady who picked it up. That's his carelessness and his loss. The jury is in a deadlock...is it really that difficult to figure out? Discuss.

The lady. Accident or not - he DID throw it out. Once he did that it no longer belonged to him.

Yep, his loss. It's not like he even accidentally lost it. He threw it away. He forfeited it as his property when he did that.

Oh wait, he "accidentally" threw it away. I guess she should get it then. Although I would be freaking pissed off if I were the guy. Updated On: 8/20/04 at 10:06 PM

The judge said it was a mistrial because the jury was in a deadlock. How hard can it be for anyone to see this?

Unique scratching style? Gimme a break. The woman should get it.

The woman should get it, but its not the dumbest case I've heard... In Ohio, a prisoner sued because his footlocker wouldn't hold enough stuff for him... Oh American Legal system... thank God the judge threw the case out for the guy having no right to sue.

You, you are the worst thing to happen to musical theater since Andrew Lloyd Webber... and you I just don't like you.

Obviously, we have no problem figuring this out. We should be in the jury. What the hell is a unique scratching style? What, does he scratch his lotto ticket in the shapes of hearts, stars, or zig-zags?

Well, OJ has always been a character, hasn't he?
