The cell phone use was EXACTLY what bothered me, sabrelady.

Loved the movie, 'cept I wanted Laura Linney to get a happy
ending. She was by far the best one in the film...although
I loved that Portugeuse maid too! And that little boy is
SO annoying, in this and in Bobbie's Girl.
I think was part of the films theme- Love doesn't always work out "happily ever after" BUT that doesn't diminish the emotion.
I absolutely adore this movie and when I walked out of the theater I couldn't stop smiling for hours. The reason I liked it I think was Because everything didn't turn out perfectly which made it realistic. I still wanted happy endings all around though. The beginning is one of the best parts in my opinion.

I think this is a wonderful film.It is one of my favorite movies. I'm not going to try to pretend like its 100% believeable in all areas. Claudia Schiffer look-alikes don't live in most towns! There were plenty of things you could writeoff as being unbelievable, but the overall picture is what counts. And its a beautiful movie, with a beautiful message. Love. Love is all you need. If only we could all see and live out that ideal. What a wonderful place this world could be.
ps - the soundtrack is amazing
Rodney, Keira is my age and I'm quite filled out, thank you. Girl needs a few cheeseburgers.

Hm, I always thought the way Wisconsin was portrayed (can't think of a better word to use at the moment!) way for the laughs and not realism! Perhaps I was just willing to suspend a bit of believe for a lighthearted, sweet film *Shrugs*
