Lying Liars

Just had to drop a quick (what I'm sure to be HOT!) post here on the board and say run, run, run to your bookstore (or B&N.com) and pick up Al Franken's "liars and the lying liars who tell them." What a phenomenal book. It'll make you laugh, cry, and scream with outrage at the unbelievable lies that this administration and its pundits have gotten away with.
And then you won't have any problem with voting for Kerry.

I'm not finished yet. But I probably love his complete raping of that bitch Ann Coulter.
Metaphorically. He didn't really rape her.
re: Lying Liars#3
Posted: 9/18/04 at 8:35pmYes, those chapters had me in hysterics.
re: Lying Liars#4
Posted: 9/18/04 at 8:36pmI love Ann Coulter. I've read all her books.

They had me laughing hysterically as well, but I love how I have not seen one instance on Ann Coulter's website (which I read)Or anyone else's where she can get back at Al. He's pretty darn careful to not...well, lie.
And for Sean Hannity to say he hates ad hominem attacks and look at what's in the very title of his latest book...it basically equates liberalism with evil.
Whoops, quick edit. I'm actually considering buying Ann Coulter's book. Part of me would rather not support her but part of me feels the need to read her vicious bile and understand exactly what and how she lies.

Posted: 9/18/04 at 8:40pmOh, I loved when Franken called hannity a "short, angry irish ape-man." I was laughing like never before.

Posted: 9/18/04 at 8:50pmBwaysinger, that's why you just borrow the book from the library. That way you don't have any embarassing moments when all your liberal friends are over and they see her book on your bookshelf and they take away your complimentary toaster or ipod. (Whichever you recieved). You aren't even supporting her by buying the book.

God, do I love that women. She knows she's a liar and she just doesn't care. But she says it with such conviction that I just can't help wanting to squish her face in like a cute little puppy!!!
And I get her newsletter, also which is great reading!

Actually, I read her website. I have to thumb back through Franken's book to find the websites that are devoted to showing Coulter (and others) for what she is: A lying, lying liar.
re: Lying Liars#12
Posted: 9/18/04 at 8:58pmAnd I never miss the chance to see her with her good friend Bill Maher.

I will present on of my favorite chapters from the book in it's entirety.
"Chapter 20: Did the Tone Change?
No."
The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

I read it a few weeks ago. Fascinating, and hilarious. The paperback version is great, because there are additions such as Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly's reactions to the book.

Yeah, the paperback is the way to go, with those new addendums.
and it's really funny how he doesn't even have to address any retorts from those he attacks because, well, they can't fight the truth.

Posted: 9/19/04 at 7:07pmThe chapter about the Christian college made me so sad, but had me in stiches. I don't think I'll ever forget that book.
