i took her class a few years ago & it changed everything for me; not just about writing, not even about art, but the whole way i live & think about life.
i cant recommend her class highly enough...if she comes to your area, DONT MISS IT!!!!

Our January 2008 CHICAGO CLASS is still SOLD OUT! Look for another Chicago class FALL 2008!

And hey a small MADISON, Wisconsin class for Valentine's Weekend 2008 is currently PENDING! (but oh please do not write us about that one yet, for we will ANNOUNCE IT as soon as it is SET!)

In answer to many of y'all's questions, here are the cities where we will *definitely* teach in 2008 (dates NOT set AT ALL right now, please STAY TUNED! woo!) -- San Francisco, Portland OR, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Madison WI, and Rhinebeck NY (at Omega Institute -- www.eomega.org )

Here are the places we *might* teach in 2008 (if schedule allows) -- Asheville NC, Kansas City MO, Pittsburgh PA, Boston MA, Atlanta GA, Austin TX.

Love Her. Love Her!

Many years ago, she came into where I worked. I helped her, not letting on that I knew who she was. We spent some time together and eventually she commented that I reminded her of Matt Groening (Long before Simpsons had made him a household name). I almost cried and told her that she & Matt were two of my favorite writers- She was very flattered and I remarked that my room mate was also a huge fan and would be VERY jealous that I had met her. Lynda said "Oh, here then!" and grabbed a piece of scrap paper, flipped it over and drew a personalized Marlys cartoon for my room mate! it was the coolest thing ever! Of course, as years went by I was consumed with jealousy that I didn't get a personalized cartoon!
