One sketch will be a parody of a roast of Ellen & Portia
This sounds better than anything SNL could have.

Whatever you say, gramps.
Wait, wasn't Roxy praising SNL and anxiously awaiting what they were going to do this season?
What's the difference between Mr Roxy and John McCain ?

No, see, Roxy was all excited to see Tina Fey. He loved that sketch but then hated the rest of the show. Of course he probably watched two sketches after Tina did Palin.
Roxy has long said he prefers Mad TV, which makes sense since so many of their sketches come from such a mean-spirited place, it's right up his alley. This is why the idea of a MAD TV roast of Ellen and her wife gives him such a tingly feeling. You know they're going to be cruel, just the way Roxy likes it.
Ooooh, you've got your Namo on tonight!

I am still scratching my head at why he thinks a parody roast of Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi is such a great concept. Is it because you think Lesbians are funny?
Reminds me of the old feminist jokes: Q. How many Lesbians does it take to change a lightbulb? A: That's not funny.
I used to like Mad Tv back in its early days, but any time I watch it now it makes me cringe.
And I second what clever name said. I can't wait to see El Franco in HD!

It's because they will be mean.
What I love is how it "sounds" better than anything SNL "could have."
Talk about a lack of imagination.
After seeing Franco's butt in those PJs in Pineapple Express, I've been imagining what it would like like in HD. Is it wrong that I kind of prefer him all greasy and slitchy like he was in that movie?
To SNAFU
Get your facts straight. I have always said SNL does political stuff best. This sketch usually comes in the beginning. In case you have not heard, there is a thing called a remote which allows you to switch back & forth.
I know NAMO(On this board) & SNAFU you are no NAMO. Not even a NAMO Lite
To Roxy, wasn't trying to be Namo. Was asking a question that is all. I do appreciate your attempt at humor though.
Whoops double post. Enjoy Mad TV though!

Boy, that Lloyd Benson quote really stuck with Roxy, didn't it?
Didn't I bump this thread? Where did Roxy hide my post? Is Roxy a mod?
Okay- that "Ellen" take-off of "I Kissed A Girl" was not funny. In fact, I thought it was a little offensive and I love Nicole Parker.
Anyone watching SNL?
I was hoping he'd take his shirt off when one of the cougars said so. GRRRR.
How cute is Franco in that emo wig?
Same here!

He fell asleep before the episode began and woke up halfway through an episode of "Bananas" with drool leaking out of his mouth.
I'm sure Mrs. Roxy was there with a corned beefy sandwich waiting for him when he woke.
