MAD TV Last Night

Watched it last night & even though it was a rerum I never saw it. They did a devestating parody of Medium

This is definitely head & shoulders over SNL

re: MAD TV Last Night

I would have saw it, but my 7-year-old cousin is visiting and was all wound up and hyper. He doesn't like programs that aren't animated.

How devestating? Mad TV isn't what it used to be.

I saw it when it first aired and rewatched part of it last night. Some of the skits were funny. I actually really enjoyed the Medium skit. The girl who played Patricia Arquette was hilarious.

It's been better than SNL for years. I liked the flashlight scene.

Every time I do it, I swear I'll never do it again til the next time company comes."--"Lulu" from "Can't Stop The Music" ----- "When the right doors didn't open for him, he went through the wrong ones" - "Sweet Bird of Youth" ------------ --------- "Passions" is uncancelled! When Mad TV started out, it was pretty poor and in my mind, a huge snl ripoff. Now, I can honestly say that the cast is so much better than SNL. SNL lost the magic and Mad TV definitely picked it up

My fav mad tv skit is the Grey's Anatomy one.

I miss Alex Bernstein! She's so funny as Ms Swan. Did anyone catch her "Dancing Queen" at the gay bar?

That's probably my favorite.. or the one with Meryl Streep as the Tooth Fairy.

^ Ms. Swan is my favorite! I loved when she sang "Dancing Queen" at the gay bar. Classic.

I miss the Stuart skits with Mo Collins as Doreen. Stuart isn't very funny anymore without Mommy to back him up.

I'll have to keep out for that one.

I think that was Susan Sarandon as the tooth fairy...

The flashlight scene was inspired. SNL would have done it in the early years but would not do it now

The babies skit was kinda funny, too.
MAD TV is just as hit-or-miss as SNL, but when they hit it, they hit it hard.
Love Stephanie Weir as Dot and Nurse Kylie.
I miss Mo Collins as Lorraine and Stewart's mother.
Debra Wilson's absolutely incredible imitation of a cracked-out Whitney Houston...priceless.

It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Two women I went to college with have been in the cast, Nicole Sullivan and Daniele Gaither. They were funny women even then!

Nicole is hilarious.

Where'd you go to college?

re: MAD TV Last Night

I think my favorite MadTV skit ever is the Joe Ezsterhas parody "Window of the Soul"

Joe: Catherine is by far the most compelling character I've created.

Interviewer: Wasn't Catherine the Sharon Stone character from "Basic Instinct"?

Joe: Yes.....Sally is by far the most original, compelling character I've created.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
