Take on a difficult challenge and bring yourself fully to life. Whatever the challenge demands from you, it also gives in even greater measure.
For when you step forward to meet a challenge, you connect with the best you have. As you work through the challenge, whatever strength and ability you possess grows even stronger.
There is treasure contained in each challenge you face. Your effort and persistence forge the path to that treasure.
Often you'll work through a difficult challenge only to be met with an even greater one. Rather than curse the unfairness of it all, stop and consider how fortunate you are.
For the first challenge has well prepared you for the next. And the next challenge will take you where previously you never could have dared to imagine.
As the challenges come, let them build you. And the richness of life grows and grows.
Yes, joeyjoe!
I agree, confronting our challenges makes us stronger!
And please remember: "Success is a JOURNEY--NOT a DESTINATION."

OOOooo, you know me too well... i was thinking of the Lumberjack but i think that these days, that's too much food...
true - thats a lot - but then again - with company in town you will be doing a lot of walking...get some fruit and don't forget to take your vitamins! (this is your husband speaking!)...LOL...
You guys ever heard of a PHONE?
are you eavesdropping AGAIN? geez..
Can't help it.
I know, sweetie - its in your blood. and WHO is your new icon?
Amber Tamblyn. Don't even tell me you've never watched Joan of Arcadia.
OK - I won't tell you (though its true) just about the only shows we watch on Television that aren't DVDs or video rentals are as follows:
We Tape Ellen daily to watch with dinner
We religeously watch The Gilmore Girls on Tuesday evenings
We pretty much leave the TV tuned to the Food network (hence our ever-increasing waistlines)...that about sums it up (oh yeah - and occasionally Smallville, but I've missed so much of it the past year that I don't know whats going on anymore)
Oh my...you have to watch it just once. I think it is absolutely your kind of show.
what night, what channel, what time...what for?LOL....no, I trust you...
Seriously, redhot, I end up in tears every week, and you KNOW what a hardened b*tch I am! It's fab. It's on Fridays at 8:00 on CBS. Incredibly well-written, acted and directed. Besides Amber, who is of course Russ's daughter, the cast includes Anthony LaPaglia, Mary Steenburgen, and Jason Ritter.
ahhh - well, I'll watch it just for Mary Steenburgen...but not this week - this week is all about Dame Edna on friday night!
oooo! Awesome!!
yes - I'll definitely need a good laugh after Wednesday evening (My Cabaret Debut for those of you who are still in the dark aobut it, though I can't imagine how that could be possible with all my self-shillage!!!)
You'll be such a stahhhhh at that point that Dame Edna will pick you out of the audience.
