MP3 cutting question

I have a DVD ripper (xilisoft) and love being able to convert tracks into MP3s for my iPod. My question is, is there a way to EDIT the MP3 tracks so I can cut out dialogue - for example - the Reefer Madness DVD has all the musical numbers at the start of the tracks, but there can be up to 7 or 8 minutes of dialogue after a song. Anyone know if there's a program or some way I have already that I can use to edit these?

what i do is i use a program called audacity (can be doewnloaded for free if you google it) and you can record every song and just start and stop after each one. its kind of a pain, but it works. hopefully that helps a bit.

I use Cool Edit Pro, now called Adobe Audition. It is a very expensive, professional program, but *cough-cough* is available through most P2P programs.

Actually, if you only have a few tracks you want to fix...

you can send them to me and I'll edit them for you. I really enjoy playing with audio, and don't have anything to do right now.

re: MP3 cutting question

Thanks for your offers of help! I found a program online that does exactly what I want - it's a demo and only cuts a track into three pieces, and though it's a pain, I figured out a way around that (copy the track and slice each copy into sections).
