Madonna Wanted To Ride After Accident-Guy Furious.

Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie had a heated row after she was injured in a riding accident earlier this week - because she was so determined to get straight back into the saddle.

The singer insisted she wanted only to sit on her horse again.

But sources close to the couple say her furious husband told her she had to wait at least a few days to recover.

Madonna and Ritchie are said to have discussed the matter during her belated birthday dinner on Tuesday night, hours after her release from hospital - where she was treated for three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a broken hand.

'Madonna was going on and on about how she wanted to get straight back on the horse so that she would not be scared of doing it,' said a family friend.

'But Guy said she was too injured to even be thinking about it.

'It wasn't one of their major rows, but both were determined to win the argument.'

The thoroughbred bay was a 47th birthday present for the singer from 36-year-old Ritchie and was delivered to the couple's £10million Wiltshire mansion, Ashcombe House, only hours before the accident.

Sources say Madonna 'could not wait' to get into the saddle.

But minutes after she rode out, the horse reared up and threw her.

'She was riding alongside a female assistant at the time,' said a source.

'She fell to the ground with quite a clatter and was in a lot of pain and badly shaken. It was clear she needed to go to hospital.'

The star walked back to the house and was driven to Salisbury District Hospital by an assistant. Her film director husband and children Lourdes, eight, and Rocco, five, followed in a car. Madonna left hospital a few hours later in a neck brace.

Her spokesman said yesterday: 'She is already hobbling around and is coming along really well.'

voiceanth--I see her every chance I can!

Seriously--how do you think her voice compares to some of the legendary voices? Do I love her this much just because she's alive and around and performing (and exciting)? Or is she up there with the best?

I think it is a very powerful, very lovley sound and I think she is a hardworking, down to earth capable artist!

That said -

I am a more "Hair under the pits" type opera lover - Anita Cerquetti, Scotto, Souliotis, - yet I respect what she does - all of it is well prepared and as idiomatic as possible..

Unlike a certain "American Sweetheart" who sings everything as if she was a jazz singer - a BAD jazz singer - and does hip hop movements while singing "Let the Bright Seraphim"..
