I saw this preview tonight before Sweeney Todd. I don't know how much I am going to like it. That being said I will probably see it as I love seeing how stage shows get adapted to the screen.

It looks fun, but to be fair - they don't show very much. I saw SWEENEY this afternoon at the Ziegfeld (and I believe the audience was largely a Broadway-savvy crowd) and when the trailer came on the theatre erupted in laughter.

i saw it tonight @ Sweeney Todd Ziegfeld & it got a really enthusiastic response from the audience! laughs, but *freindly* & applause.

to tell the truth, i wasnt planning on seeing it, but i feel like its worth it just to see meryl streep having fun. she looks *so happy* in the shots they use in the trailer.

I really wish they'd show the international trailer. It's SO much better... you get double the plot and Meryl actually singing by herself.
