Posted: 7/28/05 at 1:06pmJust curious as I have seen a lot of these around New York. Hot or not?
re: Manpris back or not?#1
Posted: 7/28/05 at 1:12pmNOT hot and I am glad to say that Gap is phasing them out.

Posted: 7/28/05 at 1:29pmCheno - WHAT are mandels?LOL...do you dislike sandals on men? (probably as much as I dislike flip-flops, I'd imagine)

Posted: 7/28/05 at 1:32pmRHN - I agree. Why would a grown man wear flip flops anywhere other than the beach!
re: Manpris back or not?#7
Posted: 7/28/05 at 1:34pmIt eludes me completely. Most people don't take care of their feet and I just DON'T want to look at people's gnarley, yellow, cracked toenails. AND - flip flops provide no ache support at all, so if worn for long periods of time, are very bad for the back.

LOL yes, mandals are basically leather sandals. Now, there are nice ones, and then there are Birkenstocks.
But: manpris + mandals = foppish extravagance!

And then there's Kevin Federline who wears manpris with flip-flops and socks.
What the hell is wrong with that guy?

Uh oh, RHN - I am in trouble. BUT, only at home around the house.
Well, I am off to the Gap, I will see if there are any manpris. I doubt it in Chicago.

re: Manpris back or not?#13
Posted: 7/28/05 at 2:09pmthe appeal of the manpris is all in the mancalves. There is no hard and fast rule.

Manpris + Mandals + Mangle = Chelsea Boys Gone Wild
re: Manpris back or not?#15
Posted: 7/28/05 at 3:21pmas long as we agree that manpris, no matter what the mancalves, should not slip so low as to show the buttfloss of the manthong. Unless you are a go- go boy and advertising along Eighth Avenue.

I understnad it's only the GAP, but that shouldn't be permissible anywhere.

sometimes they can be a good thing.
at last year's drama competition, there was one school that did POTC for their group interp, and all the boys had manpris, and this girl didn't mind one bit.

Posted: 7/28/05 at 3:49pmI've only seen one guy who could pull them off... and he was really tall, lean, and really gorgeous so I might have been making excuses for him because he was that good looking and I was swooning over him.
