Marie Osmond inspired this song in 1974 around the time she had her first hit, Paper Roses. Yes, I wrote it 31 years ago. I keep Sweet Marie in my catalog because it has the same rockin' innocence of Chuck Berry's stuff. Chuck Berry is at the heart and soul of rock music.
