Not completely decriminalized, but now it's only a $100 fine for possession of an ounce or less. I think it's a great change, since before, possession charges stayed on one's permanent record, and prevented them from getting jobs, loans, etc. Everyone makes mistakes, and subsequently learns from those mistakes, so this is a better way of dealing with them.

That's a step in the right direction. I know people in Massachusetts who have been growing marijuana on their land for years.
Dog racing is very inhumane. Another step in the right direction.
I'm packing my bong and moving to Boston.

We have something similar here in Washington State. Not legal but if someone reports you, the cops consider it a low enough priority not to come.

Speaking of cops and not coming, anybody know how the prostitution decriminalization thing did in SF?
