Anyone else love this man? I think he was so underappreciated! His voice was fantastic and he wrote some terrific songs. I'm listening to "Someday, Someway" right now. They used to play him on WLIR (it used to be a great alternative/new music station in NY) in the eighties, and he had a few videos but he never achieved mainstream success despite lots of love from the critics.
Besides "Someday, Someway", I also love "Whenever You're on My Mind", "Cynical Girl" and "Maryann".

You know, he's still touring, still recording. The first time I saw him perform was as an opening act for U2 on the very first leg of their very first arena tour of the US, on the WAR tour.
I saw him last year at a Unitarian meetinghouse. He did a choice selection of covers and a terrific song that I assumed somebody else had written because it was leaps and bounds better than his usual "in love with a girl" schtick. Turned out it was on his latest cd and really great.
And let's not forget his start in Broadway's Beatlemania.
