I have to say Mary_Ethel is a delight on these boards.
Yay, Mary_Ethel...

We belong to a mutual aggrivation society...

Are you back?

Yes...

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

"I have to say Mary_Ethel is a delight on these boards."

Well, who doesn't feel this way? I was just having dinner with a friend tonight discussing the virtues of Mary_Ethel and the humor, warmth and zany wit she brings to us here.

Yes you can. You can actually hold it longer than that. Hold it until you post something worthy of appreciation...by anyone!

So is Jose the official thread deleater or something? dont get to come on here a lot, and no one updates me about this stuff. It just seems like he has nothing better to do than that.

i find e's posts consistently worthwhile reading and greatly appreciate her contribution to any discussion, while i find some other posters' comments to be proofs of the old adage, "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

And how come no one has given props to Mary_Ethel's loyal companion, JMM?

Let's give it up for JMM!

A little bird has told me that Mary_Ethel is too shy to post in her own appreciation thread (but she's not too shy to ask others to post about her!)

Come on, M_E! Give us a quiz! A song lyric!

MF_E does more behind the scenes lobbying for positive posts about himself than Mother Teresa (or Mother_Teresa, if you will) did for canonization. AND THAT'S A LOT!

But serially, folks, MF_E struggles with powerful mental illness and every day he gets up out of bed and manages to put one foot in front of the other is a good day. Oh, sure, sometimes things get a little out of hand, and prescriptions need to be changed, but I personally applaud his rising to the challenge and attempting to have a life, at least one on the internet, in spite of very powerful and obvious chemical imbalances.
