Masters in Theatre???`

With an MFA you can teach at the college level, you will get a boost in your experience, you will network in ways you can't through just auditioning, and at alot of schools you can earn your equity card through maybe a rep theatre that works with the school. Here's the thing though: you wanna be sure of what angle you're shooting for when you pick a grad school. You can't really do anything with just a "theatre" MA, in fact you can't even teach with just the MA so you gotta go after the terminal degree unless you want the Phd later. For me, I just graduated from school but I think I need an MFA before I attack the theatre world head on. It's not that I don't feel ready, but I think I need to just do "that one show" y'know? I still need that one show/experience/epiphany where I completely surprise myself and say, "y'know...nothin's gonna stop me." And heck I love going to school and being around other "kids." You'll be around more than just theatrey people which we all know can be very annoying, and you can always play the teach college get outa jail free card.
