Another hatchet job by the Times
What a shock not?

Posted: 2/22/08 at 6:59pmIt's so interesting to watch the bias against The Times when the Post had probably an even more in-depth story and nobody mentions them.

"McCain's relationship, sexual or merely inappropriate, was with a LOBBYIST, a lobbyist for telecommunications companies that are currently lobbying very aggressively for retroactive immunity in aiding the Bush government in the illegal and unconstitutional wiretapping of citizens like StarlightExpress--an offense far greater than you imagine."
Still won't hurt him.

The Washington Post has a damaging article on the case on its front page today. Lowell Paxson has come forward and directly contradicted McCain, saying that he met in person with McCain a few weeks before the Senator sent two letters to the FCC. He is quoted extensively in the article, and says that he directly asked Senator McCain to write the letters.
He also says that Ms Iseman was in attendance at the meeting, which she had arranged.
This is all in direct contradiction to what the McCain campaign told reporters on Wednesday.

Posted: 2/23/08 at 8:25pmhe didn't ask for a judgment, he merely asked them to rule in a timely fashion as they'd been waiting twice the normal time period. and he says that she was probably there. not that she categorically was there. a senator writes a committee and asks them to do their job. there's a scandal. did he ask them to rule one way or the other? nope. just asked them to rule. kinda like when bush wanted an up or down vote on his judicial appointees. i'm sure his asking them to vote on that was a crime as well.

just to clarify, the guy who claims to have had this meeting is the head of pax tv. i wonder who his choice for nominee would be?
oh, and the other hand the guy who was in charge of the company's lobbying efforts at that time
denies that any meeting took place
