Medical Question for you Non-Medical Folks :)

For the past couple of weeks, I have had this sharp throbbing pain in the joint of my left knee about every day. It hurts when I sit too long....stand too long....lay too long, etc. I work in a Physical Therapist office and he told me to ride the stationary bike and that should help it since it is loosening the joints and such. But, it HURTS when I do the bike and especially when I stop.
Has anyone had this problem before?

Tendonitis, arthritis, maybe you just moved wrong and tweaked it and need some rest. But you should get it checked out. My mom has suffered with knee problems for years and I understand how painful it can be. Hope you feel better soon.
