Melanie Griffith on "Twins"

Posted: 9/25/05 at 7:58pmI don't think you'll have to see it for much longer. I am sensing a mid season cancellation. Or earlier.

I'm sadder to see the phrase "Academy Award Nominee" after Melanie Griffith's name than to see her "slumming" on the WB.

Posted: 9/25/05 at 11:51pmHey! Before the insanity set in and the surgery took over, she turned in a great performance in Working Girl. I firmly believe that even the least talented of performers can turn in 1 decent performance in their career. Orlando Bloom could possibly be the exception that proves the rule with that one.

He already did turn in that performance. It's called playing a sexually ambiguous elf and opening up my fantasy life.
For that, at least, he's more deserving of an Oscar than Melanie "pull me tighter" Griffith.

Posted: 9/25/05 at 11:55pmWell I think he's a plank in the LOTR trilogy. And as for Melanie "did I mention I am married to Antonio Banderas?" Griffith, she should have retired after Pacific Heights.

She should have retired after she snagged Antonio and left that washed-up first husband to end up doing a stupid law-based semi-comedy with some zit-faced teen.

#9re: Melanie Griffith on 'Twins'
Posted: 9/25/05 at 11:59pmHe actually has a new show this fall.

That's the show I was talking about. The title alone is pseudo porn: "Just Legal."
It's some stupid, stupid show. Kind of like Twins. I'm sure Don and Melanie are wallowing in their Valerie Cherish-like misery.
How long before we have someone like La Griffith starring in some reality tv series like "Celebrity Rhinoplasty" or the like?

Posted: 9/26/05 at 12:03amRhinoplasty is so '90's. It will be Celebrity Gastric Bypass.

Posted: 9/26/05 at 12:07amI just saw a Red Cross/Katrina PSA on Nick at Nite. Mary Tyler Moore may be the scariest example of bad/too much plastic surgery we have in this era. She makes Janice Dickinson look good.

I have a feeling that the norm is going to be 40 year old women looking like space aliens in our cinema. Seriously, who is telling these women they're old and ugly? Thank god some actresses know they can still get work based on their talent and not exactly how closely they can approximate feline characteristics in their face.

Posted: 9/26/05 at 7:17amSeriously, "Something Wild" and "Working Girl" are two of my favorite films. After "Bonfire of the Vanities" everything started to go downhill, although she is quite amusing in that Woody Allen film. And "Cecil. B.Demented".

I thought Melanie gave an enjoyable performance in Body Double.
I also, God help me, liked Milk Money. She's just so sweet in it.

Posted: 9/26/05 at 10:54pmI even liked her in "R.K.O.281",despite the fact that she had lips that were so large they were grazing her nose.

Posted: 10/7/05 at 1:01pmMelanie was on The View today and they showed two clips from the show that were actually quite funny. Melanie's also looking a little more toned down and not so harsh.

The shows okay, but I think that the blonde twin is scary looking. Wicked's Christopher Fitzgerald is on it.
Melanie does look better on the show than I've seen her look in a while. She must have had surgery to correct her last few, because for a while there she was looking quite scary, and her mouth was quite reminiscent of The Joker.

Posted: 10/8/05 at 5:46pmIf she could just get her top lip reduced a little bit she'd look a lot better.
