She was totally Meryl when she wept at the death of John Adams.
I lost it!

re: Meryl and Mamie

I just love Mamie Gummer. I enjoyed her performance in EVENING and I'm really looking forward to seeing her in LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES this summer.
I also love hearing Meryl talk about her. I remember she once went on some kind of late night TV show (Letterman I think) and they asked her about Mamie's stage work and she was all proud and smiling telling him how she had just earned a Theatre World Award for Mr.Marmalade.
Love them both to no end.

I just saw Mamie in Les Liaisons on Friday night, She was cute.
I also saw her in 'Hunting And Gathering' a few months ago.Saw "Marmlade" as well/
She's good. Her and Laura Linney just as in John Adams. I was looking for Paul Giamatti Friday night but he wasn't there re: Meryl and Mamie

I like her, but she's a strange choice fo LIAISONS (which I saw Sunday). The character is supposed to be a sexy 15 year old, waiting to be deflowered (she's even dscribed that way in the dialogue) but Ms. Gummer looked like a glum young spinster. I didn't think she served the play, and in her white nightgown, looked like a stodgy Von Trapp trying to think of one of her Favorite Things, not a French "rosebud" who wants to become a woman.

I think "Death Becomes Her" would make a great stage musical.

Who cares when there's Eric Bana to look at? :)
I'd love to see a musical rendition of DEATH BECOMES HER, Glebb.

Who should play Lisle von Rhoman?
