Addy, I actually had a restaurant-and-hotel centered guidebook to Paris, but I kept getting foiled in my attempts to go out to recommended eateries because a) I didn't have much money, so my choices were restricted; b) I was there during a weekend, and they don't believe in being open on weekends, especially Sunday; and c) a couple of the restaurants weren't on the streets the guidebook said they were. Unless I'm blind and idiotic, which is always entirely possible. :)

Next time I'll give you some suggestions. 
And, it's entirely possible that your guidebooks weren't correct with the restaurant locations.

*yawn* The things I do for this place. :)
I consider my successor to be one of my best friends on the board. We have so much in common I've thought of her as a slightly older, Canadian version of me, but truthfully she's much cooler than that. She's got a fantastic and bizarre sense of humor, idealism and ambition, and the most horrifying avatars ever devised by man, woman, or beast.
