The higher education community lends its support to Virginia Tech.
The messages of support and condolences from colleges and universities around the world is heartwarming.
The voices of support and strength are beautiful.

I love the inspiring stories which are emerging from all of this.
The VT band serenaded the students recovering in the local hospital.
The positive messages of support which are pouring forth from the VT community, and from the world at large.
Strength. To smile and start again.
So inspiring.

Wow, that's touching, the beauty that is coming out of this situation is a helpful reminder that while this world has far to go, there are good people here.
It makes all of this a little easier to deal with.

We, at this school, are all wearing burgundy and orange today in support of Virginia Tech. I know many schools and businesses across the nations are doing the same. There is strength in unity.

There is a call for a period of silence at noon today, and for church bells to ring in unity.
It's important to focus on the strength and hope.
While still mourning those whose lives were lost too soon.
