I was shocked by whoever said this today and was quoted in the Metro paper (free papers given out on the subway), to prove just how not-liberal NYC is...
"First and foremost, no white person should write about black rights. What could you possibly know about being black?? Homosexuality is a Caucasian trait. It?s origin is with the Greeks, Athenians, and Germanians. There were no African homosexuals? I do not believe in gay rights because it isn?t right to be gay. It is unnatural."
Just WOW.

Bigotry and Stupidity, however, know no racial barriers. Our President would doubtless agree with the speaker.

And the anti-gay movement in the United States of America is led by Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States.

Um, I don't know if I was misinterpreted, but I didn't post this to say how right-wing New York City is, only how stupid certain individuals still are.

Yes, Sunday the point was clear. Equally clear is the point that President Obama would almost certainly have said the same things as the person quoted in MetroNY.
hmm, what would be the opposite of "not-liberal"? if a city is "not-liberal" what could it be? hmmmmm.
