Mets Follies

The Mets have fired their hitting coach and cut Jose Valverde. Sort of like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. The easiest way to get in Terry Collins doghouse is to get 4 hits in a game. Sure as shooting you are riding the pines the next game

His bullpen will be on life support by July. He regularly uses 5 pitchers a game. His M.O. is put a guy in for 1 batter than pull him and put someone in for two. I am surprised he has not run out of pitchers in extra inning games.

It is fun to watch the Yankees. They at least field a competitive team that does not go in the tank every game. Looks like it is time to say wait until next year again.

Wilpon has money troubles (he does not have as many millions as he once had) and refuses to spend money on quality players. Until the fans stop coming in droves he will do nothing. He should do the right thing and sell the team while it is still worth something more than a rusty bucket.

Watching the Mets is like watching paint dry. By the way, they lost again.

"Sort of like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic."

Use this phrase just once more in the next six months and you'll have your 10th punch on your Recycled Simile Card. Congrats!

I guess the Mets made these moves because everything is going along swimmingly . The press is hammering the team on a daily basis and yet I apparently are causing people to get their nose out of joint for speaking the truth. The hitting coach's philosophy was work the count meaning do not swing to much. It was apparent as they were ******* big time getting clutch hits. There was a guy you may have heard of who had a very good career as a free swinger (swinging if a ball is anywhere near the strike zone) instead of standing there with the bat on your shoulders and than swinging at crap pitches. Does the name Roberto Clemente ring a bell? If not read up on him or visit Cooperstown

The next step is Collins and his What Me Worry approach. I will start having faith again once Wilpon sells the team . Only than can Met fans rejoice.

I have never been to Citi Field and would love to go. Paying money to see the Mets right now is just throwing money into a sewer.
