Mezzo/Soprano Audition Help for Footloose.

My school is doing footloose. I Want to Audition For Vi Moore.

I had a few suggestions but i'm not sure:

Ireland - Legally Blonde

Listen to Your Heart- Young Frankenstein

Jimmy- Thoroughly Modern Millie

Of the ones you suggested, I think your best shot would be Ireland.
However, I would suggest you look at some of Diana's pieces from Next to Normal particularly Maybe(Next To Normal) even though it is a duet. Diana's part before Natalie starts singing (from "Maybe I've lost it at last" to "But maybe one day she'll be free") is audition length.

My other suggestion might be a little offbeat but I think it shows the range required. When my school did Footloose, I wanted to try out for Vi but I didn't get in. The song I chose was "Secondhand White Baby Grand" from the TV show Smash so maybe you might want to look into that because the music's online.

I was think of Maybe from Next to Normal! I was also think about 'Im not afraid of anything' from SONGS OF A NEW WORLD or 'Climbing Uphill' from THE LAST 5 YEARS or 'The beauty is' From THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA
