If they ever did an expose on mice and rats in Broadway theatres, I'm not sure anyone would step foot in one of them again. And then there's the Belasco Theatre, which has a small pond building up in its basement, a breeding ground for malaria and the most aggressive mosquitos I've ever seen in my life.
I remember reading that there were mice at the Royale during the "A Raisin in the Sun". One night, a very brazen mouse ran from one side of the audience to the other, causing everybody to scream.
The only mouse I saw in a theater was onstage in the musical Charlie doing a dance with P J Benjamin
