I hope he gets hit by a bus. I'm sorry, did I just type that.
By the way, radio seems to have already forgiven him. South Florida stations have been playing his songs non-stop since the verdict was read.
WQSQ,
I agree with your way of thinking somewhat. Michael Jackson wil be financially fine. His albums sill make money and he does have that Beatles music catalogue. If I were to give Jackson career advice I would tell him to move to Europe and dedicate himself to being a music producer ( something which I am sure he would be amazing at).

The Beatles music catalog is alas, leveraged to the Bank of America for tens of millions, and the Ranch is also debt leveraged. He has assets but no cash.
Both of these major assets could be sold and perhaps ought to be sold if only to retire the debts borrowed against them.
His own royalties are enough for you and me to live on quite nicely, but not near enough for a man who has never had to think about exactly what money is.
This is why he needs to put a show together and tour now. He has current bills to pay and no cash. Who knows what he may owe that team of lawyers.
What if he is sued by someone in civil court where the burden of proof is much lighter?
His life is a mess and he needs a manager who isn't a crook right now--as in today.
I wonder if there has been a surge in his album sales again?

Wow. I guess you desire to live up to your name.
I have no sympathy for people who hurt kids.
But, I'll be satisfied if he leaves the country. If Japan wants him, they can have him.
And what if he didn't hurt kids??
It's stunning how you (and others) think you are all knowing and all seeing.
I don't think I'm all knowing and all seeing, but more importantly, what if he did hurt kids and what if he continues to do so. I rather accuse him and be wrong.

"I rather accuse him and be wrong."
Oh. Man.
I know, Namo, and I don't enjoy feeling this way, but I do. I think he's guilty and I'll think he's guilty the next time he's accused. Hell, I'll probably go to my grave thinking he's guilty. Assuming I'm not suffering from dementia at the time.

Which is one of the things our legal system is designed to prevent. Justice being meted out based on "gut instincts," "feelings," "a sense about these things."
i think for the sanity of the nation that he should in fact be killed now so that we can just transition from all jacko trial all the time to all jacko funeral all the time to all jacko's killer manhunt all the time to all jacko's killer's capture all the time to all jacko's killer's arraignment all the time to all jacko's killer's jury selection, and so on and so forth until it's over and then, sometime in 2009 we can move on to another topic because god knows the american people cannot possibly follow more than one sensational legal story at once so we have to deluge them withy every single detail of what is essentially a javertian quest for justice (c'mon, he may not have done it this time, and probably didn't, but if you think he's never done it, you're more naive than jrb which is saying something, hi jrb! )
sick.
of.
it.
You're right, I agree, I know the verdict was correct. I can't believe they even prosecuted with the evidence they had, or didn't have. They never should've raided the ranch. They should've sent someone in undercover as a maid or something.
