He should have given McCain some more credit.

All that free publicity, ya know. As someone said, "For that phrase that John McCain used, Moore just earned another 20 million." It's true, unfortunately.

But his post sounds so...well...bitter. He sounds so extremely pompous, like all Republicans hate him because he's SO intelligent and he just makes us mad because he's right. Right, Michael Moore. You keep thinking that.

Bitter? You must have indigestion. Probably from listening to Zell and Dick tonight. Poisoned blood. I prescribe large doses of high-test alcohol to purify the system. re: Michael Moore's 2nd column

Yes, my mother will love it when she sees her 17 year old daughter passed out on the floor! (And for the record, Zell and Dick had me whooping like a madwoman in the living room. Loved most of their speeches!)

To each their own, I guess. Forget bitter, Michael Moore is even more pompous. That man makes me sick, and what makes me dislike his movies is that people see it, accept it, and that's it. No research, nothing. It's like F 9/11 is an educational film. Now, I won't go on saying that the entire movie is wrong, but I personally don't like how people just buy everything he says without looking into it (not everyone, but the mass majority).

And some people are just voting on that. THAT is why I do not like his films and ideas. Not because he's always right. Keep dreaming, Michael Moore. Updated On: 9/2/04 at 12:03 AM

A clever one-liner,agreed, but votes taken out of context, when Zell of all people knows the rules of negotiation thru Senate bills with their myriad of unrelated and last-minute amendments. But that's too COMPLEX for the peons to assimilate. Truth isn't the coin of the realm, is it?

IF anyone is interested, Kerry has said exactly what he will do regarding National Security.

I find it more reasonable, and comforting, than "stay the course", myself.

LG, I'm not sure who you talk to about F911. Michael Moore has always said that he wants his film to cause people to ask questions and discover the answers themselves. Believe me, there is plenty of serious research out there that is more damning to Bush's policies than Moore's entertainment piece. I know a hell of a lot of progressives, and I don't know anyone who takes it as gospel.

Curious...have you seen it? What do you think about the President sitting in a kindergarten class for 6 minutes when he has been told "America is under attack?" Do you honestly think that Bill Clinton, or Al Gore, or John Kerry would have sat in that chair waiting for someone to come and tell them what to do? If for no other reason that shoots down the "decisive leader" argument and disqualifies him from being President. An no one made it up, or doctored it. It's on tape. Bush, himself, damning himself. Michael Moore just SHOWS it. Yeah, he's got some silly voice over but his ruminations about "maybe I should have shown up for work more often" are not the point of the scene. The point is the President was frozen and had no idea what to do until someone came to get him and tell him what to do. It's intolerable. And we're supposed to trust him to take charge NEXT time???

And please don't place a blanket over audiences of the film that they aren't researching, questioning, and discussing the film.

And, AGAIN, given that all the facts are legit (documented in his book and on the website), it IS fair for people to use this video as part of questioning this President. The truth stings real bad doesn't it?

I think Moore's article is fantastic. But, you knew I would say that, didn't ya? re: Michael Moore's 2nd column

Lady G, if you really are a 17 year old lesbian, who sat there whooping like a madwoman at Zell and Dick ... there is a role model out there for you. (God bless America -- we got somebody for everybody.) If you haven't yet discovered her, you might find a like mind in Tammy Bruce. Have you read her? Seen her on CNN? She's a gun-totin' pro-Bush out n'proud lesbian pundit--who's best pal is Dr. Laura. She has two books out.

I'm a fan of Michael Moore, but I was disappointed that he turned his second column into self-promotion rather than addressing other issues at the RNC. We already know the Republican leadership doesn't like Moore or his films even though they admit to not watching them. Wasn't there anything else he could write about? Moore's column was still an entertaining read, but I can't help feeling that McCain raised the issue of Moore and his film as bait to distract Moore from talking about something other than himself. Unfortunately, he took the bait.

I think Michael Moore is an idiot. I can't stress this enough. What was that, at the beginning of the column, about something new? I hate to break it to USA Today, but Moore's opinions aren't new.

If he hadn't made that film (I refuse to call it a documentary) then no one would be listening to him.
