I've been looking for about a half hour now and I cant find a few questions.

The first one is:
What are the disadvantages of feudalism?
What are the disadvantages of an economy of guilds?

economy of guilds - you must belong to the appropriate guild in order to work. The guilds interact with one another and exclude others who are not guild members. Since this is guaranteed work, the guilds may tend to get sloppy in the work because they know it is a guaranteed job. The job doesn't always go to the best worker. Furthermore, the guild can decide how many workers to put on a job. Since it's in their interest that all guild members are working, they try to pack a job with more workers than needed, thereby raising the cost of whatever the guild is producing. (Very much like unions on Broadway)

feudalism - nobody really owns anything except the overlord. Land is just "rented". So tenants can't build wealth in their families by passing land down from generation to generation. They are responsible for it, but they don't own it. The land is at the whim of what the overlord wants to do with it. He can tax it if he feels like it and force the renters to pay beyond what they can bear. More than likely, the overlord also decides what to plant on the land. If he wants to plant tobacco and nobody wants to buy tobacco, the renter is out of luck. (Sort of like Social Security and what the Democratic Party wants to do with everything else in the U.S.)

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
