Monday Blues - I Feel Lost!

OK I just need to ramble briefly.

I've been feeling a bit "lost" in life recently, and I think I know why. As artists, we are constantly searching, but there isn't always an easy answer. I look at people at the office where I work, and they all have one career path that they know they want (or at least seem to) and are following it. As an actor, I am always getting down on myself for not getting this show or that, and at the same time not having a thriving career. I have to remind myself that showbiz is not like other careers. If I want to work on Wall Street, I could get my MBA and begin a long-term career that way. As an actor though, you have abslutely no guarantees, and I accept that.

I guess I need to redefine the term "successful" in my own head before I'm going to be able to fully accept myself.

Anyone else feel this way or felt like this in the past?
