Ok, so I have searched and searched for the perfect monologue for me, tell me what you think! It has to be about one minute long and needs to be dramatic and contemporary!
From Valhalla-
Ludwig-"What is she talking about? Im supposed to transform the world? People would think I was crazy. They already do. All right, what are the signs of madness? Number One--do I talk to myself? No. Does madness run in my family? Or Course Not! Well, except for my grandfather, fifty eight cousins, three great-aunts and my brother, Otto. Poor Otto-who for the past fifteen years has been chained in his room where he barks like a dog. The third sign--do I hear voices? Sounds that arent there? No! Im not crazy, and im leaving the theatre, and the throne! Goodbye! (Ludwig begins to leave, suddenly he freezes in midstep. He hears music, it really isnt there though) I didn't hear that. No. Im fine. It's just the wind in the rafters. It's and old building. Please.(Ludwig falls to the ground, realizing he is crazy but doesnt want to face it. Puts his hands over his head) Lalalalalala...Shut up. Shut up. (Snapping out of it, back into reality) The theatre is empty. There's no performance this evening, it's a dark night. Im not listening! And im not building anything! I dont love you! I dont love you! I'm not mad. (Giving in to the music again) I'm the king. (offstage to servant) Pfeifer, I want to build something...somethign...beautiful.

Haha, tell me what you think. I mean it does have a few comedic parts, but overall it's pretty dramatic. I think I could really play up the mad/crazy/insane parts pretty well. :)

There's no real aim in this monologue. It's sort of all over the place...
You need to find a monologue where your character really needs something and isn't just babbling.
