One week until monologues are due. I have just gone through three anthologies and have come up with only ONE possibility, which I am not fond of.
I need a male monologue for a character that's in his teens-30s. Nothing more.
Requirements:
- Male character.
- Character must be in teens-30's (Or text cannot make it sound like character is older).
- One minute.
- Does not have to be a GOOD climatic monologue. It can even be boring as hell. It's just gotta be a minute and at least 10% interesting.
- Cannot be storytelling or reporting.
- No Shakespeare. Something contemporary. Setting must be American/English and dialect as well.
HELP! Specific monologues? Certain plays to look through?
THANKS!
No one?
have you looked at anything from assassins? sam byck's monologues are my favorite. I don't know what you've looked at, so it's hard to suggest things...but have you looked at any anthologies of one-acts? i wish i had mine up at school with me this semester, so i can't point you in any specific direction, but it might be a start.
