I actually liked a JLo movie! But in all honesty it was a Jane Fonda/Wanda Sykes movie IMO.
Funny film, it's not life altering, but I laughed the entire picture, which hasn't happened in a long time.
It's still a bit of a chick flick but the physical humor of Jane Fonda was great. And Wanda Sykes is perfect. Go see it!

Glad to hear it's good.
I love Jane and would like to see this movie.

Posted: 5/15/05 at 7:56amI actually need a movie to see today, and this might just be it. I love Jane Fonda, and it would be a mindless break from all the arty stuff I usually go to see. I really don't feel like thinking today.

Posted: 5/15/05 at 11:23amI saw a screening of this yesterday and thought it was very cute. Jane Fonda and Wanda Sykes were very funny. Nice beach scene with Michael Vartan running shirtless.

Posted: 5/15/05 at 12:28pmI also saw the movie last night. It was ok, nothing special, but pretty funny. Ms. Sykes was indeed very good, and I enjoyed her throughout the movie. Mrs. Fonda is very good also, she was stunning in the movie, and also got many laughs.

Posted: 5/15/05 at 2:00pmThat's too bad. I loved the episode where she gets a job as a hooker at the Chicken Ranch. I howled.

Posted: 5/15/05 at 2:05pmDoesn't the rest of the cast get credit for having to respond to Sykes's improvised lines? If her lines are improvised, so would theirs then have to be.

She had a few scenes where her character would observe/listen to a situation and then make a comment to no one in particular, perhaps those were the improvised line scenes?

Just got back from seeing it.
Fonda and Sykes were great. The rest of it was pretty terrible. * 1/2 out of ****.
I'll be cleansing my pallet this evening with "The Apple Tree", thank God!
