Republicans Admit Mailing Campaign Literature Saying Liberals Will Ban the Bible
By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK
The Republican Party acknowledged yesterday sending mass mailings to residents of two states warning that "liberals" seek to ban the Bible. It said the mailings were part of its effort to mobilize religious voters for President Bush.
(My husband questioned my choice of subject lines, asking "Why didn't you just go with 'Karl Rove is a lying sack of sh*t?"...lol)

Since nothing I say means squat, I'll tell myself a little story and I don't want you to listen.
An anecdote about Kerry: He criticized Bush for not rushing immediately out of his reading session at an elementary school when he was informed that the first World Trade Center tower had been struck. In August, Larry King asked Kerry where he was when that happened. Kerry said he was at the Capitol with a group of others and saw the first tower’s attack on TV. He admitted, "No one could think" so they sat there stunned, watching until the second one was struck. Later, Kerry was asked if he would have done anything differently than President Bush if Kerry had been in the President’s shoes. He replied emphatically that he definitely would have probably.
