Moving to NYC upon college graduation

Hello all,

I'm having a little crisis right now. I just finished my freshman year at USC (in LA, not South Carolina) in the theatre dept. and I took my annual trip to NYC last weekend to see a bunch of shows. Now, I've always been planning to move to NYC upon graduation but after coming back home I slipped into a little funk. I can't help but think that when I do eventually move to NYC, I will be a bit behind the curve in terms of connections and general know-how.

What are people's opinions on this? How many of you moved to NYC after graduation and how did it work for you?

As opposed to moving at a different time? Everyone who moves to NYC to do theatre is behind the curve. I'm not quite clear on what you're saying.
