According to WCBS-TV, one of his initial proposals will be to reduce property taxes by $ 6 Billion over 3 years

Since the state is a financial basketcase & since he has proposed billions in new spending, I am wondering how his arithmetic will work out as far as financing this tax cut/spending hike

Maybe he is David Copperfield in disguise

I read the title as Mr. Spritzer, and thought this was something about Hairspray. Foo.

Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

Lies and Mendacity!!

"According to WCBS-TV"

Your first mistake is believing anything that CBS says.

"one of his initial proposals will be to reduce property taxes by $6 Billion over 3 years"

When has a Democrat ever wanted to reduce taxes? They are the party that believes in raising taxes so that everyone can live off the government.

as opposed to only letting the only the very rich live off the government as the republicans do?

Of course never in the history of, well, history, has anybody thrown themselves a dirty little war of choice and CUT taxes. Not until Commander in Chief Cuckoo Bananas.

But Roxy. You used to lament that property taxes were going to kill Broadway. Which didn't happen. But, still, are you never happy?

"You used to lament that property taxes were going to kill Broadway. Which didn't happen."

Yeah, and it's standing room only every night at the Mark Hellinger.

As happy as you always appear to be (not) NAMO

NAMO, I doubt I ever said property taxes would kill Broadway. I believe it was high ticket prices. There is a difference

The list of assorted things that you said were going to kill Broadway has included but are not limited to:

Property Taxes
High Ticket Prices
Restoration Fees
Transit Strike
Threatened Garbage Strike
Broadway Orhchestra Strike
Equity's support of Broadway Orchestra Strikers
Theater critics who do their job and say when shows are bad
Rising subway costs
If John Kerry were elected President

I only made up two of those!

You also forgot these which I did say

Global Warming
GWB
The Late Saddam Hussein
The failure of Lestat
The American Buffalo
Lash La Rue
Butter Pickles

Can you figure out which ones I made up?

By the way, NAMO, I am a happy go lucky guy considering all I have gone thru. If Broadway is intent on killing the goose that lays the golden egg, it is their affair. I can even take you with a grain of salt.

But the thing is, you HAVE written that 8 of the 10 of the ones I listed would be the death of Broadway.

It seems I do recall the garbage strike & Kerry

Seriously, there are many things that impact on Broadway. If my thoughts differ with yours so be it. I will survive

Apparently, if any views differ with yours they should not be spoken.

Can we put to bed, once & for all, the transit strike? Not the recent one but the one that almost happened before that. You made yourself known to me than on Broadway.Com. You have beat this horse dead to a fare thee well. I will stand behind what I have said in the past. You will never agree with me even if I said 2 & 2 were 4 & I realize that

You do not like me which is your affair. I will not lose sleep over it

No, I never wrote that ever. However, when somebody who states his opinions as forthrightly as you do, as if they should be carved in granite forever as you so often do, it's especially humorous when you contradict yourself in subsequent opinions that should be carved in granite forever.
