I saw this tonite, and it's a really good film. Reading Bill Clinton's autobiography, I have found 20th century politics to be quite fascinating, specifically the switches the Republican and Democratic parties have made or even where they have evolved away from their roots. The complexities are eye opening.
This film deals with that quite well. There are many interesting moments in Goldwater's life in politics, namely the fact that he gave birth to a movement that he probably wouldn't stand by today. I love how people disagreed at the end as to whether his views late in life were consistent with his being conservative or if he had actually become a liberal. (I have my opinion, but I will save it for later).
So, I'm curious what people's perspectives are on this man and related issues. Discuss. (Better if you have seen this film first).

I thought it was very well done and I learned alot. I was 8 at the time of the 64 election. I actually saw President Johnson and Bobby Kennedy when they were campaigning in Brooklyn.
The premise of JFK and Goldwater debating together was fascinating. The film was by his granddaughter.
That's how I heard about it--she's been doing a great job promoting the film on The Daily Show and Bill Maher.

Did you know that HI-LAR-IOUS talk show host Stephanie Miller's late father was Goldwater's vice-presidential running mate?
She even had CC Goldwater on her show last week.
I love listening to Stephanie on my drive to work!
