Alright,
So for my theatre history assignment my group and I got special permission to do the history of the american musical.
Along with our "era" we have to do a five minute scene. So, what my group and I want to do is a approx. five minute good old broadway song and dance number.
The thing is though, we want it to have good, equal-ish singing parts. A solid dance component and maybe somwhere that has dialogue. And we really want something upbeat, so that it's not all depressing. lol.
And even though we want a good (well great) mark we don't want it to seem like we're showing off.

So, we have a couple ideas, but before we settle on one I wanted to know if other people had things that I missed.

btw: The hard part about this is it's a group of four. 3 girls (I don't know our exact ranges but I know I'm a Mezzo-Soprano who can go to alto territory if needed, I know that one of them can go from alto to soprano. AH-mazing range, and I think the other one is a mezzo-soprano.) and there's 1 boy (I think he's a tenor.)

... but the parts of song really don't matter to us that much, we can change if need be. what we can't change is that fact that there are 4 of us.

I would REALLY appreciate it if you had an ideas. <3

"Lets have lunch" from Sunset Boulevard.

"I wish I may" from The Witches of Eastwick.

Little women

Maybe something from City of Angels like "Everybody's got to be somewhere" or "Look out for yourself".

Maybe something from Dreamgirls.
