Relax, breathe, and schedule out your next few days including sleep and rest time and eating before the show (all 24 hours of each day), and give set times for your paper to work on your artwork and such, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

Dude, i dont have time to sleep! the other day I spent 1am to 7am in the computer lab doing a digital project for another class.

The critique for the work going in the show went really well but they want me to take my project off this big blue sheet of paper and paint the wall instead. Paint a freakin wall, do I look like i can reach all of a 7foot wall???? And now I have to disassemble and reassemble two projects, as well as make a scrapbook to go with it cuz my teacher thought itd be a cool idea to have an unfinished messy table of pictures.

My paper is five pages and its PSYCHOLOGY which is like my worst subject and I dont even know what im doing it on yet. The topic is to write about a study discussed in a book or covered in the media.

Then my digital art project that i spent an entire night working on needs to be fine tuned so i can hand it in the day AFTER my show.

I havent had time for doing things like food or sleep let alone finding a job or a place to live. I feel like the world is ending over here.

I don't know what the profs are like at NYU, but if you talk to them and tell them all the junk you have going on, maybe they'll give you a bit of an extension on a few of those things. I would reccomend trying that, especially with the Psych paper and digital art project. Good luck with getting everything done. I believe in you... I believe in you...

If you already asked them on these specific papers and projects, there isn't much you can do. If they just said that overall for the class at the beginning of the year, still talk to them. I have found profs at least here at my college are extremely helpful when you just tell them the truth of the matter. They are even willing to bend their own rules they've set for the class a bit. If you can talk to your art prof who wants you to paint it on the wall and see if she'd be willing to email your other profs about giving you an extension in your other classes since you are busy. Talk to all your profs about it even if you don't think it'll work. It can't hurt to try. Profs who are tough with students tend to be less so when they are asked by another prof to help you out. I have to go but I wish you the best of luck with everything.

If I did not have a "wedding party get together" (i swear I have 10000 weddings this summer 2 of which i am in) I would LOVE to go see it. I was actually talking about you to a friend this weekend who has her art show for a few weeks. She does studio art as well. I will have to find her link.

Good, because I was just going to call 911 and say "Hi, this is Phantom2 and Mistress is going to overdose on antidepressants." And they'd be like "Where are you located?" And I'd be like "broadwayworld.com". Not sure if that would have gone over very well!!

A classic example of where passive language can be a bit misleading. I think that "learn how to read" is a little harsh. Some might be inclined to say "learn how to write". But I won't because I likes ya Spouzic...

Perhaps, but as an artist, you understand the importance of medium.

A thread isn't a discussion really, because it is static publishing. Many people skim these discussions looking for entries from their favorite posters, and they can be misinterpreted.

I agree that context is everything, but should you come down on somebody with a line like "learn to read"... probably not. After all, how much harder would it have been to post the slightly more descriptive response:

"Yeah im [sic] doing it (about) antidepressants. "
