I am designing the lighting for a production of Annie Get Your Gun and was wondering what you guys thought of the colors I chose to use. Keep in mind that I only have a total of 20 lights to work with and they are all in the back of the house.

look cool to me
Careful with the yellow, because it always makes actors look jaundiced.

Ya...I picked the pink to lighten the white and tone up the actors. I just need a light color. I have the purple and blue, which are on the darker side and the salmon and ___________. I was planning on using the yellow with the salmon. Would that make a difference?

It's difficult to say for sure without seeing the set you're lighting, but instead of canary, I'd move it more towards a straw or a warm yellow instead of a bright, primary yellow. The affect on skin aside, it gives you more combination options with the other colours you've chosen.
But again, this depends on the palatte of the set. Do you have a render or a drawing of that? A lot of warm tones are gonna wreak havoc with your purple, for example.

Actually, I was choosing between a straw and the canary. You think I should go with the straw?
4 colors? that's it? impossible to determine without costume swatches and scenic sketches, but yeah canary's not gonna be too kind on folks faces and probably not on costumes either.

Trust me, papa...I would love more colors!
no overheads? no sidelight? no backlight? i'd be real careful how ya use saturated colors from the front, then.
oooh papa. i love it when you talk dirty.

Atleast we have some lighting...I love all of the new athletic equipment and sound system!
We do have 4 lights (2 on each side) on the side torwards the back. I have decided to use the purple and the gobo on those fixtures.
