My awesome Broadway weekend with DivaBrigader :)

As some of you may have already known, last night was Andrea McArdle's Family Christmas Show in New Jersey. I've got SO much to write about, so bear with me...

So yesterday, I took the train BY MYSELF FOR THE FIRST TIME to Jamaica, where Rachel (DivaBrigader) was picking me up. We got to her house, I dropped my stuff in her room, and then her Yorkie, Twilight, spazzed over me, and got so excited to see a new person, she started choking. Rachel's friend Sandip (aka our designated driver) came over a few minutes later, and he watched me teach Rachel the original Broadway choreography to "Never Fully Dressed" from "Annie." He was impressed/amused/frightened LMAO.

We left for Jersey at like 5:00, and it was supposed to take us an hour (31 miles), but we got there at 7:40! Why, you may ask? Because we got lost about 4 times, and then we turned down a one-way freeway road, and realized "Oh look, there's cars coming at us." So we got the hell out of there.

When we FINALLY got the theatre (Kean U, Wilkins Theatre), they couldn't find our tickets at Will Call! What the eff? Then they checked the computer, and were like, "Oh. We forgot to print them out. Sorry." So they printed them out, and we went into the theatre and found our seats. Then I turned on my PR (Phyllis Radar). Phyllis is Andrea's mother, and she told Rachel last week for us to look for her at the show.

Sandip comes back from the bathroom, and he's like "Andrea's husband just went to the bathroom next to me." I was laughing SO HARD haha. Then her husband (Edd - with 2 d's LOL) saw me in the theatre walking around, and he's like "Hey Chrissy, how are you?" He gave me a hug and kissed my head haha. I'm surprised he remembered my name haha. Then we talked about motorcycles (don't ask LOL).

Then there was the actual show. I, for one, am an Andrea virgin (never saw/heard her perform live in front of my face). I thought the show was absolutely AMAZING. During intermission, Rachel and I FINALLY found Phyllis (surprise, she was sitting right by Edd), and Rachel introduced us. Phyllis hugged and kissed us (a VERY friendly family!), and then she was like "Chrissy, you look SO familiar!" I'm like "Oh, thanks." So Phyllis is under the impression that we've met before LMAO.

After the show, all 100+ people in the audience got pictures and autographs, some bought Andrea's CDs (both of hers were on sale). Little did I know, Phyllis was GIVING them to us, but I had already bought mine. Oh well LOL. So Rachel has an extra Christmas CD now. Andrea didn't know we were there, so when the crowd was down to like 15 people, Phyllis goes "Andrea, look! Rachel and Chrissy are here!" Andrea starts FREAKING OUT! Hey girls! Hey Rachel! OH MY GOD, CHRISSY! LOOK AT YOU! You've grown up SO much since last year! You're BEAUTIFUL! I'm in my glory LOL, and I'm also thinking "Crack kills, Andrea." So we took pictures on like 4 different camera's, including Andrea's, so now she has pictures of us! Yay!

Then Sandip, Rachel, and I got SO hungry, we said our so-long's to the family, and we go to find a restaurant. We wound up having breakfast (10:30 at night, mind you) at the University Diner. We were about to ask for the check, when Rachel goes "How funny would it be if Andrea and everyone came into the restaurant?" Sandip is like, staring at something, then he starts poking Rachel, "Look!" So we turn around. Who was it? Andrea and Michael (her extremely hot but completely gay brother, who is a yoga teacher in NYC, their pianist from the show (Ben), EddieVarley, and a mystery man (any help, Eddie? The guy sitting next to you).

We wound up talking for TWO HOURS with them, Eddie hijacked my camera and looked at EVERY SINGLE PICTURE I HAD on it LMAO. Then we were talking about how the little kids at my pre-school have bad mouths, and one told me to go f*ck myself. Mike was like "Whaaaa? Oh sh*t!" Because it was Rachel's 22nd birthday, I had our waiter bring out a piece of chocolate cake for her, and the waiters, me, Sandip, and Andrea and her posse all sang Happy Birthday to her, and Andrea was making retarded faces the entire time haha. We talked about a certain Belle in BATB on Broadway who sleeps with everything that moves haha (nice one, Andrea!), Andrea looked through my wallet, and we just had the most RANDOM time ever.

As we were all leaving (we all left at the same time), Mike turns to me and goes "Hey Chrissy! GO F*CK YOURSELF!" So Rachel yelled it back LMAO. Then we said our FINAL so-longs for the night LOL.

This morning, Rachel and I got up at like 10 because she had to drop something off at work, and I wound up getting a standing-room ticket for Spelling Bee. I bought a shirt and I put my hair in Olive pigtails! Yay me and my dorkiness! I LOOOOOOOOOVED the show. I even signed up to be a guest speller! The woman who "interviewed" me was like, amazed at how cute I was acting, and the fact that I'm a pre-school teacher and stuff like that LOL. Guess who waved to me like 525600 times during the show??? CELIA! And I waved back, and we giggled hahahahaha. We're amazing. Unfortunately, I had to pee really bad after the show (damn kidney stones, leave me alone!), so I missed Celia coming out the exit. But I DID get to talk to Deborah and Dan for like 10 minutes, and they're both amazingly nice people.
