re: N Y Yankee Bobby Murcer Has Died

SO young.

He was such a positive person.

Sad news. Such sad news.

RIP.

I loved watching him play when I was a kid, and loved listening to his commentary on the games over the last several years. A sad loss for the Yankee family.

OMG...I did not know anything lately about his sickness. And I considered myself a great fan!
Truly, very sad news to have to hear...
Bobby, you made many out there very happy watching you play. So sorry when they traded you, that was a mockery...
I hope for your Eternal rest now.

Aw, man. My dad used to take us to games all the time when I was a kid. We used to go in early and watch batting practice and hang out near the dugout. Bobby always used to come over and chat with us. That was usually the highlight of the day. Well that, and whenever the Yanks won.

RIP, Bobby.
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

I'm so shocked at this news. I knew he was struggling with cancer, but thought he was doing better -- he even started announcing some games again.

May he RIP, I hear his voice commenting when I watch the games.

He will be missed.
One of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet, great with kids. I remember once watching him 3 homers in a game against Kansas City, all right around me in right field.
He was also a terrific announcer, especially in the old days when he teamed up with Phil Rizuto.
