How come NBC can't buy a decent sitcom? I only made it through 10 minutes of this pilot.

Yes, and the way they've treated Scrubs has been a real paean to their tastefullness.
(Also, once upon a time, NBC had a choice between two medical shows- Medical Investigations and House. Guess which one they chose.)

NBC have taste? Yea ok, and if you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you
That's why most of their shows usually get canned before a full season is completed.

I love hearing stories of all the shows that were shopped around.
No one wanted Desperate Housewives. ABC was the last one to take it.
Oh well. They've still got L&O.
