NBC team outs Florida Charlie (sort of...)

Very funny this morning, at the MSNBC Denver roundtable when the speculation about the Republican VP chatter turned to the silver fox Governor of Florida. The usually circumspect Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell chortled heartily when asked "is Charlie married or engaged?" Mr. Todd quiped, "probably not even engaged, now that he's off the short list for vp." Laughter ensued, of the knowing variety. It gives one pause -- was Charlie ever on the short list? If the media can barely conceal its awareness of his closet status, are the vetting folk so willing to look the other way to achieve Florida? Yes, the point is moot, but they all made it clear that Charlie was on the list as recently as late June.
