So...
Who voted or plans to before the May 6th primary???
I did hours of research on all of the candidates and went in armed and ready!
I'm going on Thursday!

Do you know who you'll be voting for based on your district?
The NCBOE lets you preview your ballot based on your county.

Don't forget to vote early in NC and avoid the crowds and hoards of candidate stooges outside the front door!
I did find it odd I didn't have to show my voter registration card or ID to get my ballot. Very strange.
Yep! I've been researching as well and I'm ready to go. This is the first election in which I'm eligible to vote, so I'm pretty excited.

Oy.
"i didn't have to show my voter registration card or id to get my ballot"
...at any of the several places i voted.
wow! We always have to. First they check your name on a list to make sure you're at the right voting location, then they check ID.

In the General Election they usually want to see what color underwear I'm wearing. I usually have to sleep with the sign-in lady in order to get my ballot, so imagine my surprise when I just gave last name and first name and confirmed my address...
Very odd. I think it's because I'm a young white male.
I've never had to, either. I just give my name and address, and that's it. Makes me think, anyone can show up and pretend to be me.

Update: I called the NCBOE and expressed my concern on their voicemail. Ironically, I was listening to radio later that evening talking about the issue and how mail-in ballots are even easier to plagiarize.
Oy. This is why our votes REALLY don't matter. It's all a Parker Brothers board game to the folks in charge.
